Dr. Zimmerman is a Clinical Professor at The Ohio State University College of Optometry where he is the instructor of record for advanced contact lens lab, the lasers/injections/minor surgical procedures course, the surgical co-management course, and he is the chief of the contact lens service. His research has involved sports vision and contact lens adverse events. He has served the College, OOA, AAO, and AOA in various capacities. To date he has 23 peer-reviewed publications and is a cover author of The Ophthalmic Laser Handbook.
