Thomas Chester, OD, FAAO serves as the Clinical Director for the Cleveland Eye Clinic where he has practiced for over 28 years. His specialties include ocular surface disease, cataract and refractive surgery co-management, and glaucoma treatments. Actively involved in clinical research, Dr. Chester has served as Principal investigator or Sub-Investigator in multiple trials, assisting in FDA approval for LAL IOL, Envista trifocal IOL, and Presbia corneal inlay. Having developed numerous educational programs, Dr. Chester frequently lectures on topics such as Ocular surface disease, surgical co-management, practice building/management and pharmaceutical therapies. He has also been published in several Optometry and Ophthalmology journals, including two retrospective trials of Tearcare in Optometry and Vision Science and “How Can We Best Diagnose Severity Levels of Dry Eye Disease: Current Perspectives” published in Clinical Ophthalmology.
Dr. Chester resides in Northeast OH with his wife and two teenaged daughters where he enjoys soccer, cycling, tennis, and skiing.
