Dawn Hartman, O.D., has been providing medically based optometric eye care for over 20 years. She completed her undergraduate studies at Eastern Michigan University where she was recipient of the Regents Scholarship Award. She completed her doctorate in optometry at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. During that time, she was also a member of The Ohio State Master Singers.
Dr. Hartman serves as Director of Optometry and Optical services at Columbus Ophthalmology Associates and Director of Optical Strategy and Optometric Innovation for Cincinnati Eye Institute Vision Partners. She is also Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice at The Ohio State University College of Optometry and is the Chief Preceptor for Optometry Externs at COA. She enjoys the role of Residency Coordinator for the Columbus Ophthalmology Associates Residency in Ocular Disease. She lectures at optometric meetings on a variety of ocular disease topics.
Her practice includes the treatment and management of eye disease such as cataract, dry eyes, diabetes and emergency care conditions. She has specialized in specialty contact lenses, including scleral contact lenses.
Dr. Hartman lives in Lewis Center with her husband, Jason, three children and mini-Bernadoodle. She enjoys music, travel and spending time with her family.
